What is a fanzine?
A fanzine is a collaborative project made up of fanworks that follow a theme. It is produced in a limited time frame and therefore has limited availability. It can be physical or digital, and sometimes include merchandise. The contents of a fanzine range from art to writing, music to cosplay, practically any form of fan creation!
What is this zine about?
Our zine is centered around the new Ginpachi Sensei anime, a spin-off of Gintama. It will contain various fanworks that show the cast of Gintama living in this alternate universe.
Are AU's allowed?
Contributors are advised to create pieces that align with the characters' established roles in the Ginpachi-sensei shorts and anime (once it begins airing) as much as possible.
School AUs that diverge from the Ginpachi-sensei "canon" require approval from the Mod Team prior to pitch submission (eg. if you would like to make up a school role for a character that has not yet appeared in the Ginpachi-sensei shorts or if you'd like to change the role of a character within the setting).
The connection to the Ginpachi-sensei spin-off must be apparent at all times — other Gintama AUs or settings will not be included.
What is this zine’s rating?
The Class 3-Zine is a safe-for-work zine meant for general audiences. Canon-typical violence may be present!
Is there an age limit for moderators and contributors?
All moderators must be 18+ at the time of application, and contributors must be 16+ at the time of acceptance.
Is there a limit to the amount of roles you can apply to?
You can apply to as many roles as you choose, but you will only be accepted for one of them! You will not be considered for any roles you have not applied to.
Where will proceeds for this zine go?
This will be a for-charity zine! We will use any profits to cover a free full bundle for our contributors first, then any remaining profits will be donated to a charity of our contributors’ choosing. We hope to donate to a charity that supports Palestinians 🍉
How will contributor compensation work?
All contributors will be guaranteed a full digital bundle and the ability to purchase any physical items at production cost.Pending adequate sales during pre-orders, we hope to compensate for shipping or the cost of items entirely—we aim to cover a full bundle for each contributor.Profits not spent on item compensation will be donated to a charity of our contributors’ choice, as noted above. A full breakdown of compensation tiers will be available upon acceptance to the project.
